Sobat pintar, tahukah kamu apa itu Concessive Clause?

Eits.. Tapi sebelumnya kalian sudah tahu belum apa sih itu klausa atau clause? Klausa adalah gabungan beberapa kata yang memiliki predikat sehingga dapat berdiri sendiri sebagai sebuah kalimat, klausa juga ada yang dapat berdiri sendiri walaupun tidak memiliki predikat, dan disebut juga dengan anak kalimat. Dalam bahasa inggris klausa disebut dengan clause. Clause adalah anak kalimat. Clause memiliki beberapa jenis dan salah satunya adalah Concessive. Concessive clause merupakan sebuah klausa yang dimulai dengan kata “although” or “even though” (meskipun) dan mengekspresikan sebuah ide yang memiliki makna lain dengan bagian pertama dalam sebuah kalimat. Jika kata penghubungnya adalah salah satu dari "although" atau "though" klausa itu disebut concessive clause.

Kegunaan Concessive clause


Nah sobat pintar, kegunaan dari concessive clause adalah untuk menyatakan suatu ide ekspresi yang memiliki arti lain dengan bagian awal dari sebuah kalimat. Atau sederhananya, concessive clause digunakan untuk menyatakan dua hal yang memiliki arti berlawanan.
