Definisi dari report text:
Report text adalah salah satu jenis teks dalam bahasa Inggris yang menjelaskan tentang detail suatu objek. Penjelasan dalam report text merupakan hasil observasi, penelitian, observasi dan kajian terhadap berbagai hal. (Report text is one type of text in English that explains the details of an object. The explanation in the report text is the result of observations, research, observations and studies on various things.)
Tujuan dari report text:
Report text bertujuan untuk menyampaikan informasi kepada pembaca tentang hasil penelitian terhadap sesuatu. (Report text aims to convey information to the reader about the results of research on something).

Karakterisasi dalam penulisan report text:
1. Tenses yang Digunakan (Tenses Used)
Tenses yang digunakan dalam Recount Text adalah Simple Present Tense. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan sinyal waktu seperti biasanya, sering, selalu, dan lain-lain. (Tenses used in Recount Text is Simple Present Tense. It is shown by the use of time signal like usually, often, always, etc).
2. Data Ilmiah (Scientific Data)
Dalam Report Text, harus berisi data ilmiah seperti persentase, grafik, dan juga diagram. (In Report Text, it should contain scientific data like the percentage, graphics, and also diagrams).
3. Karya Tulis Ilmiah (Scientific Writing)
Dalam Report Text, harus memuat tulisan ilmiah yang dikutip dari penelitian sebelumnya untuk mendukung penelitian saat ini. (In Report Text, it should contain scientific writing cited from previous research to support current research).
