Text Structure

Nah, Sobat Pintar, sebelum kita lanjut memperhatikan contoh dari teks eksposisi analitis, kita pahami dulu yuk struktur dari teks tersebut.

1. Title (Judul)
Berisi frasa kata yang menceritakan topik atau isu yang akan dibahas.

2. Introduction (Pembuka)
Merupakan poin awal dari teks esai, dimana penulis menyatakan topik atau isu yang akan dibahas dan menjabarkan kecenderungan sudut pandang (thesis statement). Kalimat pembuka dapat berupa kalimat emosional ataupun pertanyaan yang dapat menarik perhatian pembaca. Dalam bagian ini, tuliskan juga preview dari poin-poin pendapat yang akan dijabarkan di badan teks.

3. Body (Badan teks)
Rangkaian pendapat dari sudut pandang penulis untuk meyakinkan pembaca. Setiap paragraf membahas pendapat baru. Setiap paragraf memiliki poin utama yang diangkat, alasan, serta bukti yang mendukung. Penulis dapat menggunakan emotive words, mental verbs, dan casual conjunctions untuk membujuk pembaca. Setiap paragraf harus saling berhubungan satu sama lain dan segaris dengan thesis statement penulis.

4. Conclusion (Kesimpulan)
Di bagian ini, penulis dapat menuliskan kembali thesis statement yang digunakan. Penulis juga dapat merangkum secara keseluruhan bacaan.

Homeschooling

     I do not think that a homeschooling system is the best education system to use. Although parents of homeschooling students think it is better because of the manageable situation, I think homeschooling systems do not wrap all of the learning aspects that formal school usually reaches, such as in the learning process, socialization, and the self-development of the children. The learning aspect in the school is not only how to understand the material or the content of a subject, but also how to experience directly what happens in my surroundings. The homeschooling students decide which pace that they like the most and which thing that they want to learn deeper about.
    The aspect of the learning process also needed good socialization of the children. Homeschooling students just socialize with people around them that they know well and it is impossible to do something bad to them. They do not experience having a good response to react to something happening around them which is important as social beings.
     Finally, one-to-one learning that is applied in a homeschooling program does not guarantee that the children have a good development to face their real future. They do not exactly understand how to control and face a problem that they do not want to have because their surroundings really comfort them. The standards of learning in this system make students not educationally successful. This system is just like a controller of the students’ development. It shows that it is not the best way to teach or educate children.
